WASHINGTO (AP) — Janelle Monae believes voting should be empowering, not a drag. Monae says people who are avoiding registering to vote should not treat it like going to the dentist or the DMV. Monae has teamed with the White House to motivate people to get registered. She says as an artist, there’s nothing more important to her than her voice, and voting gives people a voice in the political process. Monae plans to promote voter registration at her concerts and on her website.
