Heather Curtis, News Anchor
Heather's career in radio news began her freshman year in college at IthacaCollege's award-winning 5,500 watt radio station 92 WICB and the school's internet station 106 VIC. She was active in both stations throughout school and went on to serve as News Director of both. Between semesters, Heather spent summers gaining valuable news experience as an intern at ABC News Radio and Good Morning America in New York City. After college, the radio journey took Heather to the most enchanting island of Martha's Vineyard where she served as News Director at WMVY and contributed to various publications including the Martha's Vineyard Times, the Vineyard Gazette, the Martha's Vineyard Magazine and the Vineyard Visitor. Then in November of 2008, the news journey continued onto the Cape when Heather joined the Cape Cod Broadcasting team. Outside of the station, Heather can be found singing, beading, hiking and playing the viola.

Dave Read - Weather Forecaster
It's a 3-B guarantee or double your sunshine back!" Dave Read, who has been with WQRC since 1979, resides in Sandwich and is this region's only full time local weather forecaster. He enjoys the creativity radio requires and describes it as another acting venue, where you have to think on your feet or some other way, to keep it fresh. He's proud to have received the AP "Radio Weathercast of the Year award" for three years running; and after winning it 3 times in a row, the award was retired by AP. When not at work, Dave can be found running around the Cape with his wife and digital camera taking pictures of the beauty and history that surrounds us.
