LOS ANGELES (AP) — If your takeaway from listening to “Jagged Little Pill” by Alanis Morissette is that she was an angry young woman, she’ll accept it. Morissette says the record gave that impression because “You Oughta Know” was the first single. Morissette says “Jagged Little Pill” was also tender and vulnerable and devastating. She says the album was her reaction to being a good girl for so long and she finally exploded. It’s been 20 years since “Jagged Little Pill” was released, and Morissette says it feels like it was both 100 years ago and 20 minutes ago.
