LIVINGSTON, N.J. (AP) — Bon Jovi is playing both sides in the 2016 presidential campaign in New Jersey. He hosted a fundraiser for Democratic contender Hillary Rodham Clinton on Monday night. Meanwhile, Republican Governor Chris Christie used Bon Jovi’s songs yesterday as he announced his campaign for president. Bon Jovi says through a spokesman that his friendships are not political and that he gave Christie permission to use his songs.
