UNDATED (AP) — Last week Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell was crushed because his cancer had returned and he would have to miss out playing concerts. This week he’s elated because his doctors found a way around it. Campbell writes on Facebook rather than use radiation to treat his Hodgkins lymphoma, his doctors have steered him to an alternative treatment. He doesn’t get specific about it. Campbell will join the Def Leppard tour Saturday in Birmingham, Alabama. He says his future treatments will work around his touring schedule, so he should not have to miss any more shows.
