LOS ANGELES (AP) — Ed Sheeran will play an “ambitious and deadly protege’ of a high-ranking church elder” in an upcoming drama on FX, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Sheeran will play a recurring character named Sir Cormac in “The Bastard Executioner.” It’s about a 14th-century warrior who is asked by a divine messenger to become a journeyman executioner. It’s set to air this fall.
