SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — San Francisco police have recovered a stolen guitar owned by former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante (froo-SHAHN’-tee) that was on its way to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Frusciante had given the 1966 Fender Telecaster, worth $30,000, to a friend who had his home burglarized on August 16. Officer Carlos Manfredi says investigators determined the guitar changed hands three times within 10 days before it was found. Police have not given information on suspects. The guitar was returned to the friend, who will continue with the plans to loan it to the Rock Hall.
