LOS ANGELES (AP) — Leona Lewis would not call her new album a comeback because she’s been living with herself the entire time. Lewis says people who have not heard from her in a while might consider “I Am” a rebirth, but she’s just hoping it will be something meaningful to listeners. If anything, it’s a branching-out album, because it’s the first one Lewis has made without the help of Simon Cowell, the man who discovered her. Lewis quit Cowell’s label because she says it was time to look for new energy. “I Am” is out today.
