LOS ANGELES (AP) — OMI (OH’-mee) believes the reason he succeeds in the music business is because he was brought up right. OMI says, “I’m a country boy and I’m not ashamed to say that.” Omi says being a “country boy” means respecting his parents and other people, having good manners and maintaining a sense of responsibility. He’s the first one to admit he’s human and therefore not perfect, but he wants to live so that he can be looked upon with respect. OMI’s debut album, “Me 4 U,” will come out October 16.
